Estimate a meal from one photo

Tap the scan button, frame your plate and take a photo. Wishbite names what it sees, estimates the portion in grams and shows calories, protein, fat and carbs for each item, with a confidence level. You check the result, fix anything that is off, answer a quick question if asked, and save.

Estimate a meal from one photo

What happens after you take the photo

  1. The photo is sent for analysis and the dishes on the plate are identified.
  2. Each item gets an estimated weight and its nutrition values.
  3. If the result is uncertain, Wishbite asks one or two short questions, for example whether a dressing was added.
  4. You edit names, grams or portions, remove items or add a missed one.
  5. You save the entry to breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack.

Several dishes on one plate

A plate with rice, chicken and salad becomes three items, each with its own portion and values. Change the grams of one and only that line is recalculated. Hidden extras such as oil, sauces or sugar are marked as unknown instead of being guessed silently.

Honest about uncertainty

A photo cannot weigh food. Wishbite shows every result as an estimate with a confidence level and keeps estimates apart from barcode data and your own manual entries. If the analysis cannot run, for example without a connection, you see a clear message and can log the meal by hand.

Limits

The free plan includes a few scans a day; Pro raises the daily limit. Manual entry, search and barcode scanning are always available, so you are never stuck when the scan limit is reached.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the photo scan?

It is an estimate. Portion size is the hardest part to judge from a photo, which is why every item is editable and the confidence level is shown.

Can I fix a wrong dish?

Yes. Rename it, change the grams, delete it or add a missing item before saving.

What if the scan fails?

You get a clear error and can log the meal manually or by search.

How many scans are free?

Currently three a day on the free plan. Pro allows many more.
